If you’re from Maine or just visiting our beautiful state, the Maine Heritage Village is a must see. Step back in time at the Village and understand why here in Maine we say “the way life should be”... There is so much for all to enjoy from sweets and treats to hundreds of handcrafted items. See the Jelly man make hundreds of jars of homemade jams and the woodworking shop make toys for young and old, the baker making fresh pastries and pies and the lobster men creating a lobster bake for all to enjoy. The 3000 square foot Emporium stocks hundreds of penny candies, nuts, dried fruits, fudge, chocolates, candles, home decor, handmade soaps, pottery, ceramics and more, this is a village for all to enjoy from young and old, by yourself or with family and friends...

Situated on two acres, there is plenty of room spending an hour or a day to enjoy this one of a kind experience! Upon arriving to at the Village you will meet our greeter Orris Peake. He can give you directions, advice and answer all your questions about what this great heritage village has to offer.

Walk the grounds to enjoy free exhibits including: Maine Maritime Museum, Lincoln County Historical Association, Boothbay Railway Village, Wabenaki Native Americans, WW&F Railway Museum and more!

The Maine Heritage Village has so much to offer you in a full menu lobster pound restaurant. There are trash buckets built right into every table and the concrete floors which allow you to enjoy Maine seafood the way you should without worrying about the mess. Prices are low and the quality is high, best in the state, the way they should be. The Lighthouse Lobster Shack offers Downeast Maine style cooking and is proud to be home of the $8.95 Lobster dinner. A gigantic “fresh from the sea” lobster roll is also available, at a price that can't be beat. The restaurant has a two thousand pound lobster tank stocked with fresh lobster bought right off the boats daily. We also offer chicken, burgers, ribs, hotdog's and so much more... all at old fashioned prices, and the largest clean restrooms in the area.

The Village Green Gazebo is a great escape for a dinner out with 10 to 35 friends and family. Plan on reserving this space anytime for your private day or night out. It’s free to use for all functions while eating at the Lighthouse Lobster Shack. Just call ahead and relax while the Lobster Shack does the rest. Setup a lobster bake, pizza party, barbeque or order right from the menu, call today for a reservation.

Our computerized visitor’s center gives you quick access to all of Maine’s attractions and is one of the only free computer centers for travelers coming through the mid-coast region. As we all know there may be a time computer access may be hard to find on vacation. Computer access to email and internet is a valuable commodity. We are happy to provide a quiet, private space for all travelers to access and use our computer center.

Maine Heritage Village also has plenty of space available at the Schoolhouse for birthday parties, reunions, bridal showers, baby showers, anniversaries, or any occasion. The Marketplace Emporium can also help cater your event for any number of people with homemade pies, custom cakes, sweets and treats. The Emporium stocks hundred's of penny candies, nuts, dried fruits, fudge and much more, to make your events a huge success. The Maine Heritage Village does not charge for parties and events at the Schoolhouse. Renting the Schoolhouse for the kids is especially great because there will also be use of the swing set, 2 story playhouse and the Village can also setup the Village Green with games and activities for all ages.
